She has established her name as one of India’s most promising new designers. Masaba Gupta is the talented daughter of cricketer Vivian Richards and Neena Gupta.
Having switched between various career choices and educational disciplines, Masaba Gupta finally settled for SNDT Women’s University, getting mentored under the expert care of Wendell Rodricks, one of India’s leading fashion designers. For the collection that she showcased during her graduation, she won three awards at her college. Masaba Gupta, the young, talented and bold fashion designer, was well prepared for a glorious career in Fashion and Style thereof.

Masaba Gupta’s first breakthrough came when at the young age of 19 she showcased her collection ‘Kattran’ at the Lakme Fashion Week 2010, which received widespread appreciation, critical acclaim and a welcoming response from the audience in general. Masaba Gupta is the youngest person to have ever displayed their collections at LFW. At the age of 24, Masaba Gupta had joined Satyapaul, one of the greatest Fashion houses of India, as their youngest ever fashion director.

When she showcased her colection at GenNext fashion show on Day Two of the LFW 2009, Masaba Gupta's collection turned heads with its vibrant colours and bold patterns. She even won the 'Most Promising Designer' title and had the crowd buzzing. In the year 2010, she opened her flagship store in Mumbai. Actress Sonam Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, and actress-host Mandira Bedi are among her clients.
In LFW Summer/Resort 2011 she has shown collection inspired from the Masai tribes of Tanazania. She named the collection 'Straight from my soil', as she is half African.
Masaba Gupta wants to style for films and is conecentrating on it. Bollywood would love to have her.
