Fashion designer, Maheen Khan gets inspired by anything that catches her fancy. The Pret collection she showcased in Milan Fashion Week was inspired from Khyber region and its arts and crafts that was beautifully embedded on the outfits was liked very much by the Italians, and they called her “the Coco Chanel of the East”. The collection displayed in the Pakistan Fashion Week was based on the old Alfred Hitchcock movie “Murder on the Orient Express”. In this way little things inspires and catches her fancy and she makes them alive on her dresses.
Recently, Maheen Khan also launched her new collection ‘Gulabo’ in Karachi that is completely inspired by truck art of Pakistan.
Maheen has won many awards namely Lux Style Awards, Style Icon award. Recently she was also awarded ‘Benazir Women Excellence Award’ for Best Women Wear Designer.

Maheen’s labels include Maheen and Gulabo, inspired by truck art of Pakistan. Maheen Khan needs no introduction. Her presence alone is exudes elegance and style and her talent is limitless.
Maheen Khan was recently in the spotlight for her embroidered work in the movie Snow White and the Huntsman. She is the woman who is famous for costume designs for Jewel in the Crown,” she explains. Maheen has also done embroidery for numerous films like Sweeney Todd, Phantom of the Opera, Elizabeth I, Elizabeth II, Alexander and Golden Age apart from Snow White. The embroidery for the costumes of the upcoming movie Maleficent have also been done by Maheen. She explains that these projects have not been easy. “European embroidery is different from Pakistani embroidery.
From Paris to Milan, New York to London, Maheen has done it all, promoting Pakistani fashion all over. Be it chic, elegance, style or luxury Maheen has brought all elements in her collections to suit the ‘real woman.

The collection perfectly reflected flight of birds with variations of silver, white and darker tones of blue. The fabrics encompassed were chiffons, silks, jersies and chamois. The cuts of Maheen Khan’s Collection were exclusively created for women in a modern and most innovative way.
It was too spectacular to begin 5th edition of Fashion Pakistan Week with Maheen Khan’s Flight Collection 2013 for which the styling and makeup was done by Saba Ansari.
Catwalk Event Management & Productions choreographed the Fashion Pakistan Week 5 with back stage management by Production [021] & show production by CKO. The photography for Maheen Khan Collection at Fashion Pakistan Week 2013 Day 1 was done by Faisal Farooqui and his team at Dragonfly whereas the PR of Fashion Pakistan Week 2013 was handled by Lotus Client Management and Public Relations.
